In my next life I want to come back as kibbutz dog
I have never bared witness to what would be considered doggie paradise till I arrived at Kibbutz Ein Gev. They roam freely, pee anywhere, are fed well and have a lot of sex - all junk is in tack.
As for us volunteers there are three dogs who have adopted us. They hang out on the beach, sleep in the volunteer clubhouse, as well as, hang with us in the pub.
Cookie, we think, was left at the kibbutz gates, (common practice for people who no longer want their dogs) . He has been adopted by many volunteers from time to time, the unfortunate part of this is that we leave at some point. So Cookie has some abandonment issues and is a big people pleaser. Similar in appearance to the Disney dog Benji, this scrappy, mutly dog cuddles and nuzzles, easily roles on his back for tummy rubs and is willing to snuggle. At present Gemma (English) has taken ownership of him and now we know Jemma is never far behind if we see Cookie. He waits for her patiently outside the dinningroom, has watched and waited for her while working in the restaraunt, joins us in the pub and herds cows for us while hiking up Mt Susita
Puto which I've been told means gay in Spanish is the prettiest dog on the kibbutz. He is some random, small, short haired, black dog who races around the kibbutz on a regular bases trying to mount all the other boy dogs. He does not always choose size appropriate dogs, a.k.a. a burmese mountain dog he is quite fond of. He rapes Cookie pretty much on a regular basis (maybe its consential) but we are working on Cookie's self asteem and teaching him that "No means No"
